Alumni Spotlight: Andrew Carlberg

The Department of Communication is hosting Alum Andrew Carlberg as part of the COMM Alumni Spotlight in which he’ll participate in a moderated talk about his journey to becoming an Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning film, television, new media, Broadway, and Los Angeles stage producer. There will be a Q&A session that follows for members of the audience to participate and ask questions.

This event is free and open to the public. CLE credit is available.

 

About Andrew Carlberg 

Andrew Carlberg, named “Hollywood’s New Leaders” by Variety, is an Academy and Emmy Award winner, and his portfolio spans various domains, such as projects for HBO, Netflix, CBS, DirecTV, and more. His recent credits include the romantic comedy “Sister of the Groom” and the award-winning HBO Max drama “The Fallout.” He has also worked on short films, such as “Anna,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and “Feeling Through,” an Academy Award nominee. Carlberg is a distinguished member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Producers Guild of America, and an event producer for organizations like the I Have a Dream Foundation – Los Angeles and the National Breast Cancer Coalition.

The Department of Communication’s Alumni Spotlight Series brings back an alum once per semester to connect with our current students for meaningful conversation, advice, and information. The department has an alumni base of prominent and successful professionals across a wide range of industries across the world. Each event is eligible for CLE credit and is open to the public unless otherwise noted.
