Elaina’s research focuses on the intersection of organizational communication, resistance, and identity, specifically exploring how resistance and identity influence organizing processes in the case of activist organizing. Her master’s thesis focused on how resistance and identity enabled and constrained coalition-building among student activists, using social identity theory as a lens for analysis.
