Biography

Codey’s research examines the interplay between how we talk about infrastructural systems and how we live with and beside such systems inside of multiple scalar contexts. His dissertation historicizes the term “infrastructure” and its relation to the design and implementation of systems that became identified as “infrastructure,” in an effort to excavate how infrastructure discourses help to construct what is socially valuable.
