Social Media Intern

Want to get paid $15 per hour to talk about Carolina? Join the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a social media intern. We’re looking for Carolina students to help recruit the next class of students to UNC-Chapel Hill. If you’re a creative person who enjoys building engaging social media content, we hope you’ll apply.

Responsibilities:

– Plan, create, and post engaging social content that tells the story of Carolina and its community.

– Interact with followers, promptly answer questions, respond to comments and DMs.

– Work with full-time staff to develop innovative and effective ways to recruit talented students.

– Maintain consistent voice and tone, adhere to brand guidelines, and follow best practices related to digital accessibility.

– Monitor analytics across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, keep an eye on trends, and consider ways to improve our social media presence.

– Attend required meetings and trainings. If desired and time allows, there may be opportunities to cross-train in other areas to support recruitment efforts (i.e. warmly welcome guests to the University, make telephone calls, and other administrative duties as assigned.)
