As part of the Department of Communication’s Alumni Spotlight series, we’re happy to welcome Alum Rayna McClendon back to Chapel Hill for Navigating the Film Industry with Rayna McClendon. She will be joined by faculty member Renee Jacqueline Alexander Craft for an in-depth conversation about her career, her time as a student at UNC, and advice for aspiring film industry professionals during a Q&A session with participants.

The Navigating the Film Industry with Rayna McClendon event will be held Tuesday, March 7, 5:30-7:30PM in 105 Caldwell Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Students may also receive CLE credit for attending. No RSVP necessary.

She is 2009 alumni of the Department of Communication and a big supporter of the Hollywood Internship Program. Rayna was most recently a Co-Executive Producer on a series for Marvel Studios. She has written television episodes for Willow (Disney+, 2022), The Walking Dead: The World Beyond (AMC, 2021), Briarpatch (USA Network, 2019), Deadly Class (Syfy, 2019), and Damnation (USA, 2018) among other writing credits. She also served as a Consulting Producer on Obi-Wan Kenobi (Disney+, 2022). In addition, she has sold pilots to Netflix, Syfy, and Universal Cable Productions. (per IMDB)
