Biography/Research Interests

Samantha Thies is a PhD student in the Communication department at UNC Chapel Hill. She is interested in interpretive and critical rhetorical studies. She primarily examines the ways power permeates through different laws and legislation, and its resulting impacts on marginalized communities.
