Biography
R.’s research interests lie in the intersection of media studies and the rhetoric of science and draw from the fields of science and technology studies, film and media studies, cultural studies, and gender and sexuality studies. She is currently working on research related to the transformation of scientific constructs as they are distributed via popular news media and popular culture more generally. Prior to her work in media studies, R. held a career in social science research and contributed to projects at the Institute for Genome Science & Policy, Bryan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, the Social Science Research Institute, and the Center for Child and Family Policy at Duke University.
