As an interdisciplinary scholar, Elizabeth’s work sits at the intersection of cultural studies, performance studies, and organizational communication. Her current project is a critical performance ethnography with public school teachers and administrators that traces educational practices in East Texas from integration in the early 1970s to today. She also writes about backstage processes of the touring commercial performing arts industry and the current trend of integrating the arts into traditionally non-arts curriculum.
