Biography
Generally, I try to explore how new media (YouTube, Twitter, etc.) influences our ideologies and socio-political perceptions, tackling questions of agency and structure along the way. As of late, I’ve been focused on public reaction to social movements. I’m also more broadly interested in the history of the so-called “Left Intelligentsia” and its engagement with social and political theory/practice.
You can find my work in the Czechoslovakian journal Mediální Studia, as well as in Donnalyn Pompper’s upcoming book The Rhetoric of Masculinity: Male Body image, media, and gender role stress/conflict.
