This monetary award, designed for multiple recipients, is to be used for direct production expenses associated with a film or video as outlined in individual proposals that are submitted. Included, but not limited to these, are the following expense items allowed: film stock, processing, tape, equipment rental, hiring talent, props, location costs, transportation, and insurance. Students applying submit proposals in Fall semester and the recipients will be selected by the “Rick Dees Panel”, which consists of faculty in Media Production. They will then be allowed to enroll in the Spring semester “Advanced Production” course and use the money received on the project they proposed within the context of this course.

The Department of Communication Award Ceremony will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM in the Pleasant’s Family Room in the Wilson Library.
