How Far We’ve Come, Yet How Far we Have To Go

  • Join the UNC Colony of Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Incorporated and the Beta Lambda Chapter of Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated as we host a discussion of panelists on women’s rights as a progression from past, present, and future. Our panelists include Erin Arizzi, Josh Miller, and Taylor Livingston.
    Erin Arizzi is a Ph.D. candidate in Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on Feminist Theory and Media Studies. She holds a masters degree from UNC, and bachelors degrees in English and Communication from Villanova University. She is currently writing a dissertation about femininity in U.S. culture under the direction of Dr. Richard Cante. She is also working part-time doing communications work with NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina.Taylor Livingston is a graduate student with a bachelors degree in Anthropology from College of Charleston, and a masters degree in Anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on the intersections of race, class, and gender in the Deep South through the lens of breastfeeding. Her research seeks to understand how public health discourses and the legacy of slavery and racism in the South shape a breastfeeding woman’s decisions and practices.For more information about this event, please contact:
