Conversation on Academic Publishing
This event, co-sponsored by the Center for Faculty Excellence and the Institute for the Arts and Humanities, brings together UNC faculty and representatives from UNC Press and Duke University Press for a conversation on academic publishing. This event will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 22 in the Hyde Hall University Room from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and no RSVPs are necessary.

UNC faculty authors will join representatives from UNC Press and Duke University Press to facilitate a conversation for faculty on academic press publishing. Topics will include: how to write a book proposal, how and when to approach presses, finalizing a contract, and working with a press through the book production process. Panelists will also prompt reflection and provide insight on the current state of academic publishing and its possible future directions.
