PROFESSORS CAROLE BLAIR AND LAWRENCE ROSENFELD WIN UNIVERSITY TEACHING AWARDS

Continuing the long tradition of teaching excellence in the Department of Communication Studies, Professor Carole Blair and Professor Lawrence Rosenfeld were honored Saturday for their outstanding work in the classroom.

Professor Carole Blair received the Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction.  This award was first given by the University in 1995 to recognize the important role of post-baccalaureate teaching

Professor Lawrence Rosenfeld received the William C. Friday Award for Excellence in Teaching.  The award was created by members of the 1986 graduating class to recognize members of the faculty who have exemplified excellence in inspirational teaching.  It is named in honor of former UNC President William C. Friday.

Both recipients were honored in a half-time ceremony at the UNC-Virginia Men’s Basketball game on Saturday February 11.
