Dana’s research brings together cultural studies, political economy and organizational communication to investigate theories of the state and economic citizenship. His work focuses on the complex interplay between social and economic value and its political organizations. Specifically, he is interested in expanding on concepts of value extraction in social networks to understand the way currency functions as a medium and object of value in the institutional communication of large-scale financial networks.
