• Michael Renov of the University of Southern California will be presenting "Civil Rights on the Screen" @ 3:30pm on Thursday, 19 November 2009 in Howell 104
• "Portraits in Black, U.S. Moving-Image Documents, King to Obama" will be presented in Chapman 201 from 7 to 9:15pm on Wednesday, 18 November 2009
  
• The Department's Artist in Residence, Joseph Megel, is directing "Caleb Calypso & the Midnight Marauders"; for details please visit the Man Bites Dog Theater site
• On Monday, 19 October 2009, there will be a free discussion of this play along with "Waiting for Godot" at 7pm at Man Bites Dog Theater.  Chris McElreon - director of "Waiting for Godot" & Executive Director of Classical Theater of Harlem, J. Kyle Manzay - actor, Howard Craft - playwright, and Megel will all be taking part
