Wayne Erik Rysavy (email@example.com)
B.A. and M.A., Department of Communication, Boise State University
Wayne’s research problematizes relational, legal, and ethical dimensions of information flow at the intersection of individual and technical agency. It emphasizes how the state relies on information to monitor and track individuals in the name of security and personal protection through laws and law enforcement. Wayne’s work draws attention to the ways individuals and data-centric technologies contribute to, contradict, and reconfigure shifts in socially normed practices of information sharing in context that resist, yet also fundamentally support state surveillance apparatuses.
