Megan is interested in the relationships between media, technology, and culture. Her research variously examines the implications of surveillance practice for gendered, racialized, and classed bodies; the extension of market logics and technologies into new areas of social life (specifically, personal branding cultures); and the contemporary functions of “authenticity.” She is published in: Communication Studies, Communication & Critical/Cultural Studies, Sexuality & Culture, Review of Communication, and the Duke anthology Feminist Surveillance Studies.
