Chancellor’s Fellow Christopher James Dahlie’s dissertation examines the interface between live concert audio engineers and their equipment.  This interface serves as an entry point to situate the labor of production technicians, and cultural labor more broadly, amidst changing technology, and within popular culture and cultural industries.  A professional audio engineer himself, Christopher’s theoretical influences include political economy, phenomenology, cultural studies, and media theory.
