Bryan locates his research and teaching at the intersection of cultural and technology studies. He is interested in articulations between media formations organized around “information” and various structures of power. He is currently writing a dissertation that historicizes the concept of “information” and tracks ways in which popular discourses of information politics mobilize certain notions of agency. Bryan’s work has appeared in Games and Culture and New Media & Society. He is also Managing Editor for the journal Cultural Studies.
