Current Research: Completing a documentary focusing upon disability studies, more specifically Scandinavian and American paralympic skiers, entitled “Pushing the Limits”
Grant Funding: Current grants from the Norway American Association Norwegian Marshall Fund Award and the University Research Council and past grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities Southeast Media Fellowship, the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, the Arts & Humanities Foundation, and the University Research Council.
Recent Publications: Documentary “Beyond the Wall” and textbook “Introduction to Media Production” 3rd edition.

Areas of Specialization: Documentary production/history/theory; international film history
Honors: National Broadcasts on PBS and the Discovery Channel, several UNC-TV statewide television broadcasts, numerous awards and festivals screenings. Including a Grand Festival Award at the 2005 Berkeley Video and Film Festival, a CINE Golden Eagle, and recent festival screenings in Park City, Utah, New York City, and Oxford, England.
